Test transparent, chambers claviform. Very similar to Hastigerina pelagica, but with elongate chambers in last whorl (see Hastigerina pelagica for additional remarks).
Distribution: Typically warm water, occasionally occurring in fairly high numbers (up to 3% of the spring assemblage in tropical regions).
