Females: In lateral view right prosomal corner more or less obliquely truncate; Gns without lateral swellings in dorsal view; A1 extends to posterior border of Pd2. More characters can be accessed by backtracking the key:

Wilson (1950) figures a male Phyllopus aequalis, although this appears to be very similar to the male of P. bidentatus.
