Umbrella bell-shaped; short manubrium; gastric gelatinous peduncle or vacuolated endodermal cells forming a pseudo-peduncle; mouth with 4 simple lips, armed with continuous row of sessile cnidocyst clusters along whole margin; 4 radial canals and circular canal; solitary solid tentacles, numerous in adults; gonads on interradial walls of manubrium; adaxial ocelli.
