Umbrella up to 20 mm wide, nearly hemispherical, mesoglea fairly thin; manubrium small, quadrate; mouth with 4 simple lips; 4 (sometimes more, up to 12) radial canals; bulbs globular; 1-3 (usually 2) statocysts between successive tentacles
