Spicules equal in size and shape, 4-winged, in basal fourth with four large crosswise lamellar wings, wing edges with fine serrations; each with 50 thread-like myonemes. Basal leaf-star small. Cell body spherical or polygonal, central capsule thick, opaque, brown-yellow or brown-green. Diameter of cell body: 0.2 mm; length of spicules: 0.64-0.80 mm; width of wings: 0.024-0.068 mm; length of basal leaf-star: 0.015-0.037 mm.
