Spicules very strongly compressed, lamellar, both ends sharp, each with 6-8 short myonemes. All pores in funnel-shaped depressions; oval aspinal pores surrounded by 10-12 smaller sutural pores. Cell body within lattice shell spherical, colorless, with many zooxanthellae. Ectoplasmic cortex single-layered. Spicule length: 0.084-0.11 mm; diameter of lattice shell: 0.08-0.1 mm; of aspinal pores: 0.01 by 0.006 mm, of sutural pores: 0.004 by 0.003 m
