Family Stenostomidae Vejdovsky, 1880
Description
Pre-oral zone with rows of sensory cells, sometimes ciliated pits, a ventro-lateral furrow anterior to mouth. In some, parthenogenesis rather than asexual zooid formation. Brain with multiple paired lobes, near mouth. Gut fills body, excretophores common. Male pore dorsal at level of mouth.
