Diagnosis
Length female 1.65-1.71mm, male unknown. Described from Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland. Another closely related form was described, inadequately, by Brady and Norman, 1896 as Asterope elliptica from Valentia in Eire which may prove to be synonymous.

Remarks
This is one of the fifteen species within the Cypridinidae which are superficially keyed-out in this program.
