(Semper, 1868)

P. similis is a small, translucent red, sea cucumber with ten tentacles, each with four digits. Its spicules are anchors with a smooth vertex and long arms, and irregular plates with numerous small holes. This species can be found in coastal mangroves and brackish areas.
