T. australianus is a yellow, translucent, small sea cucumber with 10 tentacles (T. australianus tentacles). Its spicules are wheels in which the inner serrations are not grouped (T. australianus spicules); sigmoid bodies are also present. T. australianus is a temperate species from the coast of N.S.W.
