Description:
Shell is thin, rather short and broad, with seven whorls, the last whorl comprising about three-quarters of the total shell height. Aperture is oval, with distinctly thickened inner and outer lips, each bearing at least three distinct teeth.

Size:
Up to 8 mm.

Colour:
Greyish-brown (O. myosotis).

Habitat:
Upper shore, particularly in estuaries, among seaweed, saltmarsh plants and rotting debris.

Distribution:
Locally common (Distr. O. myosotis).
