Bergendal, 1900

Description:
Length 9-30 mm, width 0.3-1.5 mm. The head is translucent, pointed, not broadened or marked off from the body. The proboscis pore lies ventral, about one body-width from tip of head. The mouth is situated two or three body-widths further back. The body is whitish, rounded anteriorly, somewhat flattened posteriorly, hind end often coiled spirally.

Habitat:
Mud at depths of 6-50 m, especially in polluted situations.

Distribution:
Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
