Perrier, 1893

Starfish of the Order Phanerozonia with a distinctively near-naked dorsal side of the disc. The marginal plates are somewhat reduced. There are no pedicellariae. Papulae are scattered over the dorsal side of the disc. The genital organs are confined to the interradii, not passing into the ray.

In the North Sea only one species of this family is found:
- Porania pulvillus
