(Lilljeborg, 1859)

Body very long and thin, cylindrical, curved, tapering posteriorly, up to 11 mm; pinkish white, apricot-red when older. Stalk half way along the dorsal side, narrow and smooth. Mantle opening at the anterior extremity.

Parasitic on the hermit crabs Anapagurus chiroacanthus , Anapagurus hyndmanni , Anapagurus laevis , Pagurus cuanensis and Pagurus prideauxi , but not known from Pagurus bernhardi . In Norway, up to 14% of Pagurus cuanensis infected. Gregarious, occasionally single, but usually several, up to 30.
