Body robust; coxal plate 4 distal margin convex; epimeral plate 3 posterodistal angle with a small tooth. Head with rounded or weakly angular lateral lobes; eyes small and rounded. Antenna 1 and 2 about equal length, about one-third of the body length. Antenna 1 peduncle article 1 longer than article 2, article 3 small, flagellum much longer than the peduncle. Antenna 2 peduncle elongate, articles 4 and 5 about equal in length, flagellum equal to the length of the peduncle article 5. Gnathopod 1 small, feebly, subchelate, merus and carpus spinose distally, propodus oval, palmar margin with four or five small spinules, margin minutely toothed. Male gnathopod 2 moderately robust, propodus subrectangular, palm oblique, delimited by a small tooth and two small spines, palmar margin irregularly toothed. Female gnathopod 2 generally similar to male, except rather smaller. Pereiopods 5 to 7 robust, merus very broad with the distal angle strongly produced; pereiopods 6 and 7 basis broadly expanded. Uropod 3 peduncle short with two small marginal spines, proximal article of the ramus slightly longer than the distal article. Telson elongate oval, devoid of spines, apex rounded.
