Description:
Body slender; pleon segment 4 depressed dorsally with pair of anteriorly directed setae and 2 or 3 pairs of posteriorly directed spines. Coxal plate 1 with apex narrowly rounded, posterior margin with weakly defined notch, posterodistal margin with about 6 long setae; coxal plates 2 and 3 posterodistal angle with small tooth, distal margin with about 15 setae. Epimeral plate 3 posterodistal margin rounded, distal margin with 4 to 6 groups of 1 to 3 spines. Antenna 1 peduncle article 1 distal margin narrowly rounded, ventral margin with 2 plumose setae, flagellum about 5-articulate. Antenna 2 flagellum in female 8-articulate, in male only about 12-articulate and only little longer than in female.

Size:
Up to 6 mm.

Habitat:
Subtidal, depth range from 10 to 30 metres; on coarse sand.

Distribution:
Norway, west coast; Isle of Man; also from various localities on Atlantic coast from Norway to South Africa, but most are probably erroneous identifications.
