Body extremely slender; pleosome segments 1 to 3 each with 3 strong dorsal teeth and a number of smaller intermediate teeth; urosome segments 1 and 2 with a single large dorsal tooth. Coxal plates short; plates 1 and 2 with the distal margin crenulate and setose. Epimeral plates 1 to 3 with posterior margin coarsely toothed. Head with broad lateral lobes, weakly truncated; ocular bulges distinct but the eyes poorly defined. Antenna 1 almost as long as the body, peduncle article 2 longer than article 1, article 3 small, flagellum long and slender; accessory flagellum small but distinct, 2-articulate. Antenna 2 slightly shorter than antenna 1, setose, peduncle almost twice the length of the flagellum. Gnathopod 1 carpus laminar and densely setose, propodus much smaller than carpus with palm poorly defined, setose, dactylus long and slender. Gnathopod 2 more slender than 1, carpus and propodus elongate, about equal length, densely setose, palm very short, dactylus small. Pereiopods 3 and 4 extremely slender, carpus longer than merus and propodus; dactylus slender and setose. Pereiopod 5 basis, posterodistal angle acutely produced. Pereiopods 5 to 7 merus and carpus about equal and much longer than propodus. Uropods 1 and 2 spinose, outer ramus much shorter than inner; uropod 3 extremely elongate, spinose. rami about equal and almost as long as peduncle. Telson cleft to half length, each lobe apically acute with long terminal seta and several small lateral spinules.

Whitish, with red markings.
Depth range from 10 to 300 metres.
