Body very robust; dorsal margin of urosome segment 1 with a pronounced rounded hump; coxal plate 1 small, largely concealed, plates 2 to 4 very elongate, plates 5 to 7 also large; posterodistal angle of epimeral plates 2 and 3 with a small tooth. Head with a blunt, curved rostrum, lateral lobes small and angular, eyes elongate with a median constriction. Antenna 1 peduncle article 1 very robust with anterodistal margin produced and rounded, articles 2 and 3 short, about equal, flagellum about 10-articulate, setose; accessory flagellum 6-articulate. Antenna 2 twice length of 1, peduncle articles 4 and 5 about equal. flagellum about 25-articulate. Gnathopod 1 very long and slender, distinctly chelate, almost devoid of setae, ischium longer than merus and carpus. Gnathopod 2 also long and slender, strongly subchelate, propodus much shorter than carpus, setose distally. palm oblique and well defined, dactylus short and curved. Pereiopods 3 to 7 short and robust, spinose; pereiopods 5 to 7 basis short and broadly rounded, merus markedly expanded and overlapping short carpus. Uropod 3 rami naked, inner ramus equal to length of article 1 of outer ramus. Telson moderately elongate, devoid of setae, deeply cleft.
