Pereion segment 2 in male with a long curved ventral spine. Coxal plate 1 acutely produced anteriorly; plate 2 rounded in female, acute in male. Rostrum well developed, acute, lateral lobes angular; eyes not defined, indicated by a patch of white pigment. Antenna 1 slender, moderately setose, peduncle article 1 with two large distoventral spines, flagellum up to 16-articulate; accessory flagellum short, 2-articulate with the distal article minute. Antenna 2 sparsely setose in female, densely setose and with a robust peduncle in male, flagellum only about 6-articulate. Female gnathopod 1 propodus suboval, strongly setose, palm oblique, sinuous, dactylus setose with the inner margin toothed. Male gnathopod 1 basis short and broad, propodus suboval, robust, setose, palm concave medially with a rounded distal tubercle, dactylus setose and toothed. Gnathopod 2 slender, simple, more robust in male than in female, very densely setose, carpus elongate, propodus shorter and tapering, dactylus small and straight. Pereiopods 3 to 7 basis narrow. Uropods 1 and 2 robust, spinose; uropod 3 peduncle inner distal angle prolonged with two or three terminal spines, ramus small, oval, with about five or six long distal setae. Telson rounded with a pair of short dorsolateral setules, apex weakly angular.

Pale yellow, with weak orange bands on the pereion.
Depth range from 10 to 600 metres.
