Coxal plates 1 and 2 acutely produced anteriorly; epimeral plates 1 to 3 setose. Head with a short rostrum, lateral lobes angular; eyes small, rounded. Antennae strongly setose; antenna 1 peduncle article 2 longer than article 1, both with slender ventral spines, flagellum up to 15-articulate; accessory flagellum 2-articulate. Antenna 2 peduncle articles 3 and 4 with slender ventral spines, peduncle very robust in male, flagellum equal to the length of the peduncle article 5, about 10-articulate. Female gnathopod 1 basis short, broad, robust, narrow proximally; carpus short, propodus large and robust, oval, palm strongly oblique, convex, delimited by a large truncated process and one or two stout spines, dactylus setose with the inner margin toothed. Male gnathopod 1 generally similar to the female one, less densely setose, palmar margin with two rounded tubercles, delimited by a slender rounded proximal process. Gnathopod 2 slender, propodus a little longer than the carpus, both strongly setose, palm transverse, setose with a dense group of fine spinules; in male palmar margin straight or slightly concave; in female margin distinctly concave. Pereiopods 3 to 7 slender, basis narrow; pereiopods 5 to 7 with long plumose setae. Uropods 1 and 2 robust, spinose; uropod 3 peduncle inner distal angle expanded with a small apical spine and one or two setae, ramus very small with one or two apical spines and three to five long setae. Telson rounded with a pair of small dorsolateral setules.

Yellowish, with orange markings.
Depth range from 40 to 200 metres.
