Description:
Body slender; coxal plate 4 distal margin convex; epimeral plate 3 strongly prolonged posteriorly, posterodistal angle narrowly rounded. Head with triangular lateral lobes; eyes moderately large, rounded. Antenna 1 and 2 about equal in length, one-third of the body length; antenna 1 peduncle article 1 equal in length to articles 2 and 3 together, flagellum much longer than the peduncle. Antenna 2 peduncle articles 4 and 5 about equal, flagellum equal in length as articles 4 and 5 together. Gnathopod 1 small, feeble, propodus slender and slightly shorter than the carpus, palm not delimited, margin with four or five long setae, dactylus inner margin setulose. Gnathopod 2 also rather feeble although distinctly subchelate, propodus very elongate, slender, tapering proximally, palm oblique, convex, smooth, delimited by a small tooth and spine. Pereiopods 5 to 7 slender, merus weakly expanded with the distal angle strongly produced; pereiopods 6 and 7 basis broadly rounded. Uropod 3 peduncle short with a single small marginal spine, ramus with article 2 shorter than article 1. Telson oval, with one or two pairs of small dorsolateral spines, apex rounded.

Distribution:
North Atlantic; recorded only from Greenland, west Norway and Shetlands.
