Bruzelius, 1859

Description:
Urosome segments not fused. Head without rostrum, lateral lobes acute; eyes indistinct. Antenna 1 and 2 sparsely setose. Female antenna 1 peduncle article 1 ventral margin straight with 4 or 5 long spines, inner margin with 4 or 5 long spines proximally and 8 to 10 setae distally; male antenna 1 peduncle article 1 ventral margin straight with 2 or 3 short spines, inner margin with 3 or 4 proximal curved spines, distal setae absent. Female antenna 2 slender, peduncle article 4 distal ventrolateral angle not produced, ventral margin with 2 or 3 spines, article 5 with 1 to 3 spines; male antenna 2 peduncle article 4 distal ventrolateral angle produced as one long and one short process, ventral margin without spines, article 5 without spines. Gnathopod 1 palmar margin irregular. Pereiopods 3 and 4 dactylus longer than propodus and carpus combined. Uropod 1 peduncle outer margin with 5 or 6 spines, inner margin with 3 or 4 spines; uropod 2 peduncle with 2 to 4 dorsal spines; uropod 3 ramus narrow.

Size:
Up to 5 mm.

Habitat:
Burrows in bottom sediments at depths between 10 and 60 metres.

Distribution:
Coasts of northern Europe; north Norway to Scotland, Skagerrak and Kattegat; Faroes.
