Description:
Overall length of adult body, with abdomen extended, about 60 mm; carapace length, including rostrum, about 30 mm; pinkish yellow, with edges and transverse grooves reddish, some red spines. Carapace with a few spines on the posterior margin; rostrum proper a single spine, flanked by two shorter supra-orbital spines. Chelipeds very long.

Habitat:
On stony bottoms, from LWST to 150 metres.

Distribution:
From Norway to Madeira, Mediterranean.
