Rostrum divided apically by a very broad U-shaped notch, a few small spinules on distal part of margin; carapace smooth; supraorbital eave smooth, or with four or more spinules or tubercles; hepatic lobe strongly produced outwards and markedly convex, rounded or truncate; dactyls of first two pairs of ambulatory legs slender; dactyl of last pair of legs weakly curved. Type locality: Jolo, Sulu Archipelago, 6°06'N, 121°02'30"E, "Albatross" stn 5139, 36 m.
Range: Japan - Oshima Passage, Amami-Oshima (Takeda, 1989); Sulu Archipelago - Jolo (Rathbun, 1916, Griffin, 1976); Indonesia - Salibabu Island, Timor, Ambon, and Selat Sunda (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a); 34-113m.
