Stimpson, 1858

Carapace minutely granular, significantly wider than long, very convex; antero-lateral borders armed with two blunt teeth with elongated posterior margins; frontal, branchial and lateral cardiac grooves well marked. Rostrum bluntly tridentate, lateral rostral teeth more prominent than median tooth. No epipod on cheliped. Chelipeds generally tuberculated, but palm with only a few prominent tubercles. Distal margins of carpi and propodi of second and third pereiopods lobed. Third and fourth abdominal segments armed with four tubercles. (Türkay 1995)

Range: Japan - Ogasawara-shoto (Stimpson, 1858d, 1907); China - Paracel Islands (Dai & Yang, 1991); Sulu Sea - Pearl Bank (Ihle, 1913); Indonesia - west of New Guinea and Roti (Ihle, 1913), Ambon (de Man, 1888d, McLay, 1993); New Caledonia (McLay, 1993); Samoa - Upolu (Ortmann, 1892); Gambier Islands - Rikitea; 0-47 m.
