Stephenson & Rees, 1961

Front 4-lobed; median frontal lobes much broader than laterals; 4 antero-lateral teeth; third antero-lateral tooth same size as second; carapace with small transverse ridges or corrugations in addition to ridges normally present. (Davie 1999)

Type locality: Gilbert Islands.
Range: Kenya - Mombasa (Stephenson, 1972a); Japan - Kakeroma-jima near Amami-Oshima (Takeda, 1989); China - Paracel Islands (Dai & Yang, 1991); South China Sea - Nansha Islands (Dai & Xu, 1991); Indonesia - Sangihe Island (Stephenson, 1972a); Australia - Lady Musgrave, Queensland (Stephenson & Hudson, 1957); Gilbert Islands (Stephenson & Rees, 1961); Tuamotu Archipelago (Stephenson & Rees, 1967); intertidal zone to 11 m.
