Rostral spines not fused for almost entire length; orbit closed below, basal antennal article adjacent to postorbital lobe; lateral margin of rostrum with numerous spines. (Davie 1996)

Type locality: Ocean in Asia.
Range: Japan - Ishigaki-jima (Sakai, 1976a); Korea - Cheju do (Sakai, 1938a, 1976); Philippines - Lubic Bay, Lubang Island, Palawan, Cuyo Islands, between Cebu and Bohol, Pandanan Island, Leyte, and Samar (Griffin, 1976); Sulu Archipelago - Tawitawi Island (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a); Palau (Sakai, 1938a, 1976); Indonesia - Ambon (de Man, 1887d), Bali, Sumbawa, Sumba, Seram Sea, Ambon, Banda, south of Timor, Kepulauan Kai, Kepulauan Aru and Kaimana Reef, Irian Jaya (Griffin & Tranter, 1986a); 0-18 m.
