Type species: Platygyra labyrinthica Ehrenberg, 1834.

Total number of species estimated: 10.

Characteristics: Meandroid. Colony formation by linear intramural polystomodaeal budding, with lateral branching and terminal forking. Collines narrow, septothecal. Septa with relatively few dentations, the larger usually with small internal lobes. Columella continuous, parietal.

Range: Indo-Pacific.
