Type species: Xenia umbellata Lamarck, 1816

Description: Colonies upright, lobes capitate, polyps concentrated on well-defined capitulum. Polyps not retractile, monomorphic. Colour of colonies white, gray, brown. Sclerites are small ovals. Zooxanthellae present.

Habitat: shallow water.

Range: Tropical Indo-Pacific.
