Type species: Cespitularia multipinnata Quoy and Gaimard, 1833

Description: Colonies forming upright, digitate lobes. Polyps not retractile, monomorphic. Colour of colonies white, brown, or blue. Sclerites are small ovals. Zooxanthellae present.

Habitat: shallow water in places with strong currents.

Range: Tropical Indo-Pacific.
