Type species: I was unable to find any type species designation.

Description: Colonies with common basal part from which stems arise, branching of stems rare. Polyps retractile, distributed on distal parts of stems and branches; without supporting bundle. Sclerites are needles and slender spindles. Colour of colonies greyish. Zooxanthellae present.

Habitat: Shallow water.

Range: Widespread in tropical Indo-Pacific.
