Thomson and Dean, 1931

Type species: Protodendron repens (Thomson and Henderson, 1906)

Description: Colonies encrusting, a number of polyps arising from common base. Polyps monomorphic. Sclerites are spindles, clubs and capstans. Zooxanthellae present.

Habitat: Shallow water.

Range: Rare in tropical Indo-Pacific.
