Hooks: 7; anterior teeth: 9; posterior teeth: 16.
Maximum adult body length: 10 mm; tail: 28-29 %.
Body slender; transversal musculature absent; head fairly large; hooks not serrated. Fin bridge absent. Anterior fins short, fully rayed, rounded; posterior fins short, fully rayed, rounded. Collarette short; gut diverticula present; eyes with star-shaped pigment spot. Seminal vesicles narrow with head and trunk; position of seminal vesicles: touching neither posterior fins nor tail fin. Ovaries unknown; ova unknown. Adhesive papillae and adhesive organs absent. Apical glands absent.

Distribution: epipelagic; Red Sea.

Remarks: 1 specimens found at 400 m.

Type locality: Red Sea.
