Hooks: 6-7; anterior teeth: 4-6; posterior teeth: 8-10.
Maximum adult body length: 10 mm; tail: 25-29 %.
Body firm, opaque; transversal musculature absent; head narrow; hooks not serrated. Fin bridge absent. Anterior fins short, fully rayed, rounded; posterior fins short, fully rayed, rounded. Collarette long and narrow; gut diverticula present. Small eyes with T-shaped pigment spot. Seminal vesicles with knob and trunk; position of seminal vesicles: separated from posterior fins, touching, or close to, tail fin. Ovaries long reaching to neck region; ova large. Adhesive papillae and adhesive organs absent. Apical glands absent.

Distribution: neritic; Indian Ocean, Laccadives.

Remarks: 28 specimens found.

Type locality: 11°N, 72°E.
