Description
Hooks: 7-8; anterior teeth: 10-18; posterior teeth: 10-14.
Maximum adult body length: 14 mm; tail: 23-27 %.
Body slender; transversal musculature absent; head wide; hooks not serrated. Fin bridge absent. Anterior fins of medium length, fully rayed, rounded; posterior fins of medium length, fully rayed, rounded. Collarette short; gut diverticula present. Small eyes, with star-shaped pigment spot. Seminal vesicles with knob and trunk; position of seminal vesicles: touching both posterior fins and tail fin. Ovaries of medium length, reaching to midlle of anterior fins; ova small. Adhesive papillae and adhesive organs absent; apical glands absent.
Distribution: neritic; Caribbean.
Remarks: Description based on about 60 specimens.
