Hooks: 5-7; anterior teeth: 4-10; posterior teeth: 6-18.
Maximum adult body length: 14 mm; tail: 25-31 %.
Body slender; transversal musculature absent; head narrow; hooks not serrated. Fin bridge absent. Anterior fins of medium length, fully rayed, rounded; posterior fins medium length, fully rayed, rounded. Collarette short; gut diverticula present. Large eyes, with T-shaped pigment spot. Seminal vesicles with knob and trunk; position of seminal vesicles: touching both posterior fins and tail fin. Ovaries long reaching to neck region; ova fairly big. Adhesive papillae and adhesive organs absent. Apical glands absent.

Distribution: neritic; Nosy-Bé (Madagaskar), South Indian Ocean.

Remarks: found at 2-10 m depth.

Type locality: 13°26.5'S, 48°17.5'E.
