Description
Hooks: 8-11; anterior teeth: 2-3; posterior teeth: none.
Maximum adult body length: 3 mm; tail: 41-50 %.
Body firm and muscular; transversal musculature on trunk; head wide; hooks not serrated. Fin bridge absent; one pair of short lateral fins both on trunk and tail; lateral fins fully rayed, rounded; transversal musculature on trunk wide. Collarette long; gut diverticula absent; eyes present, pigment unknown. Seminal vesicles conical; position of seminal vesicles: touching both posterior fins and tail fin. Ovaries of medium length, near posterior end of ventral ganglion; ova large. Adhesive papillae present; adhesive appendages present; apical glands absent.
Distribution: benthic neritic; tropical Atlantic.
Remarks: 8 specimens from Soldier Key, Florida.
