Casanova, 1993

Hooks: 6-8; anterior teeth: 3-4; posterior teeth: none.
Maximum adult body length: 4 mm; tail: 49-52 %.
Body stumpy; transversal musculature on trunk; head wide; hooks not serrated. Fin bridge absent; one pair of short lateral fins both on trunk and tail; lateral fins fully rayed, rounded. Collarette long; gut diverticula present; eyes with big round pigment spot. Seminal vesicles crescent shaped, without appendages; position of seminal vesicles: touching both posterior fins and tail fin. Ovaries long, near middle of ventral ganglion; ova large. Adhesive papillae present, adhesive organs with adhesive appendages absent; apical glands absent.

Distribution: benthic, neritic.

Remarks: 18 specimens found.in Japanese waters.

Type locality: Misaki coast, Japan.
