Description
Hooks: 7-11; anterior teeth: 4-14; posterior teeth: 12-25.
Maximum adult body length: 16 mm; tail: 32-39 %.
Body slender and fragile; transversal musculature on trunk and tail; head wide; hooks not serrated. Fin bridge absent; one pair of medium length lateral fins both on trunk and tail; lateral fins fully rayed, rounded. Collarette long and conspicuous; gut diverticula absent; eyes absent. Seminal vesicles unknown; position of seminal vesicles unknown. Ovaries short; ova fairly small. Adhesive papillae and adhesive organs absent. Vestibular organs unknown; apical gland cell complex present; neck canals present.

Distribution: bathypelagic, below 1800m

Remarks:10 specimens found in the Arctic Ocean, Canada Basin.

Type locality: 57°37.7'S, 153°57'W.
