Description: This large sea cucumber has a dark gray to black upper side with deep, conspicuous creases. The underside is rose to white with scattered brown podia of small size. Size: up to 30 cm.
Habitat: It lives on the sandy bottoms around reefs and in grass beds. Depth: ranges from 3 m down to 30 m.
Distribution: Common all over the Caribbean.
Remarks: The genus Holothuria contains many subgenera and species. It is impossible to tell to which species exactly your specimen belongs without using microscopical materials and specialist's literature.
