Appellof, 1896

Athenaria lacking a sphincter muscle, column more or less elongated and sometimes differentiated into regions. Perfect mesenteries (macrocnemes) 12 or 14, microcnemes, if present, restricted to distal part of column, two siphonoglyphs are present. Only one British species.
