Description
Hooks: 10; anterior teeth: 2; posterior teeth: none.
Maximum adult body length: 12 mm; tail: 50 %.
Body stumpy; transversal musculature on trunk; head wide; hooks not serrated. Fin bridge absent; one pair of short lateral fins both on trunk and tail; posterior fins of medium length, fully rayed, rounded. Collarette long; gut diverticula absent. No eyes. Seminal vesicles conical shaped; position of seminal vesicles: touching both posterior fins and tail fin. Ovaries long, reaching till neck region; ova large. Adhesive papillae present. Adhesive organs with adhesive appendages absent.

Distribution: benthic neritic; Japan

Remarks: 1 specimen found in a haul from 1000-0 m.

Type locality: Suruga Bay, Japan.
