Description:
This bug-like parasitic isopod attaches itself to the head or gill covers of fishes. Color: dark gray to brown.
Size: length up to 3 cm.

Habitat:
Parasitic. Most infected are Blackbar Soldierfishes Myripristis jacobus.

Distribution:
Occasional all throughout the Caribbean.

Remarks:
Many more species in this genus occur, but identification requires expert knowledge.
